About the Area
The Cherokee National Forest is graced with a
wondrous natural beauty and is a protected wildlife sanctuary. The
area offers trophy trout fishing, horseback riding and canoeing on
the Hiwassee River and hiking on the many trails in the forest. All

Hiking
The Cherokee National Park offers many hiking areas. Hike to
magnificent waterfalls or just casually walk along the John Muir
Trail. For those who are more daring, hike up the many mountain
trails or ask for a guided mountain tour including climbing and

Fishing
FishingThe Hiwasee River is world famous for its exceptional trout
fishing. In addition to the Hiwassee River, many other local area
rivers and lakes offer great fresh water fishing as well. A dream

White Water Rafting on the Ocoee River

For a more relaxing river trip. Float down the scenic Hiwasee River.
This river has some small white water areas with a lot of calm water
